AC in 3475 RL
When we purchased our 2006 Montana we found that the ceiling AC in the living room is insufficient to cool the RV. I guess a 2nd will have to be installed. It seems to take 4 hours to cool down the RV with the one AC, than never shuts off even at set point of 75-deg. While in Florida with a day temp of 88, air is needed but with a 32' RV we previously had, not a Montana, the AC would cool down that RV in no time at all and kept it cooler much longer than what we have now. I think I am disappointed wit the AC they put in this Montana. I found a few more things I am not happy about, but can live with - like the carpeting. I went through a few Montanas and found no better. Oh well this is how we learn.

Frank,
I just posted a picture of my 2nd a/c I had installed in the bedroom under the improvements thread. Also just food for thought... You might have your dealership check the airbox seal on your current a/c. I had the same problem that you are having and went ahead and bought the bedroom a/c. While they were installing the new a/c, the shop checked the original a/c to find out why it would not cool down the coach. It was also freezing up and would just shut down after running for 2 hours or so on a very warm day. They found this airbox seal was not sealed properly causing cold air to be sucked back into the return vent. Caused the a/c think it was colder in the coach than it really was. Just an idea...

Thanks for the tip. We had a second A/C installed on our 2006 3475RL but have not been out to try either A/C. I will check to make sure everything is up to par! Of course it has been at 100 in South Texas the past few days but we have been in the stick house. I retire in 8 days--so I will get with it at that time.

Tim,
I have been trying to retire for several years now. Sure wish I could say it was really going to happen in 8 days!
For what its worth, it was in the upper 90's this past weekend in East Texas. The one AC in our 06 3400 seemed to work fine. I too suggest you have yours checked out.

Also check the freeze up sensor as mentioned in a thread above.

Do you have a 13000BTU or a 15000 BTU AC? I think that the 15000BTU is optional and the 13000BTU is standard. Our 3475 has the 15000BTU AC. It's tells you on the side which one it is. We were in the valley with other ones from MOC this winter and our air was fine. Also if you have the dark windows and dark day and night shade's, I found out that have the dark shade up and the white part down ,it seemed to cool better.
