Montana High Country 310 RE or 352 RL
We would like your opinions on the Montana High Country 310 RE and 352 RL. We are going to buy one of these (new) and trying to decide on which. Any comments especially if you own one of these would be a great help. Thanks

I don't have experience with either, but when I looked for my current Mountaineer I really wanted to have the entertainment center opposite the chairs. That way you aren't looking at TV from the side.

I second the RL we just bought a new 340bh and the tv across from seating was a factor.

We prefer the RE setup because it allowed us to remove all the OEM furniture and remake the rig in our image. RL didn't give us many options.

I like a RL camper. They have big windows in the back. The camper that is best for full time may not be the best vacation camper. They are 2 entirely different uses. One is a home one is to vacation in. You need to think about what is important to you. I try to not stay in camp grounds. I boondock a lot. I wont to see out. The more windows the better. A shorter camper is better to travel with a long one is better to stay in. How much are you going to stay in one place? How many miles are you going to travel?
We can't tell you what is best for you. Only you can do that. Think about what is important to you. Then make your choice. After you think about that you may find something that fits your needs better than these two units. It's yo money!!

I also prefer the TV opposite of the chairs. I tried sitting a bunch of RE units and for me to be comfortable I had to pull the recliners out into the walk way. Everyone can have different wants and needs. Try to spend some time in each of them. Write down the good points and the bad points, then compare each unit again going over all the good and bad. Try to visualize what it is like when cooking, relaxing etc.

We like our RK much more than a RL (which we have had) and a RE.

I have the 352RL and we liked it not only that the recliners were directly across from the TV, but I could also stretch out on the couch and watch TV also. Another nice thing was with the slides in you can still access the fridge, the bathroom, and the bedroom. we love this floor plan as it works well for us.

We have the 352RL and have enjoyed it very much. We chose it over the other primarily because of the TV being across from the recliners and the large window out the back. You can, however, aim the TV in just about any direction so you can watch it from the couch or the dining area. It is also a couple of feet longer, although some might think that can be a negative. We enjoy the extra floor space in the entertainment area. And yes, you can access the frig when the sliders are in. If you have a chance, take some time and just sit in them both for a while to get a feel.

We have had our 310RE for a month now and love it. TV location relative to the recliners is not an issue for us, and it pulls out and swivels to adjust to your location. And you can see the tv from the kitchen. Fireplace puts out enough heat when we are on shore power we don't meet to use the furnace. Only negative is the bathroom door swing into the hall; too bad they didn't use the pivot hinges on this model.

The bathroom door swings into the hall in the 352 also.

We decided on a 2015 HC 305RL that we had ordered after looking at the early 2015 version, but after waiting 5 months, we got a later 2015 version with some changes. Most of which we like. The early version had the bathroom door open to the bedroom and the later version has it opening to the living area. I would imagine that most people gave feedback to the tune that 90% of the time they are using the bathroom from the living area or from outside and only about 10% from the bedroom. A pocket door would have fixed everyone's preference though! haha

We have the 343RL. This will be out 4th season with this rig. The layout sold us. We've looked at others, we finds ourselves partial to other RLs even from other manufacturers.

We had the dealer before we signed the papers reverse the bathroom door. They charged us $100.00 extra. It buts up to the commode. Not a problem for us. Better than hallway swing out.We have a 2015 Montana HC 305RL
