Kings on the new Montana

Any experiences anyone can share with the new Trail Kings that come with the newer Montanas?

They were only worth $80 each when my Goodyear dealer immediately put on my G614s when I picked up the unit from my dealer.

I believe all ST trailer tires are made in China. These may have replaced the Goodyear Marathon ST tires that so many Montana owners have had problems with.
Look on the tire face and it should tell you what country they are made in.

That's the bottom line. I'll never put a Chinese tire on anything I drive.

It's still the cheapest tire Keystone could find to do the job. I won't accept a rig with them on it. Keystone positions it as a tire they think will be better, wouldn't surprise me if Goodyear got tired of paying for the damages and wouldn't sell them for Monty's.

Good advice. We sign the contract on a 3910 tomorrow, and after completion of the negotiations and PDI today, indicated no way we would pull the new unit off the lot with the stock tires ( I priced on line for $72 each, which tells me even worse than Goodyear Marathons,) and we came to a reasonable solution for replacement with a good quality Goodyear LT E Load tire. Tried for the 614s, but oould not sell that. We have been running LT E Load truck tires ( Firestone TransForce) for 10 years with no problems, so a LT solution works for me.

Have you weighed the new trailer yet. You sure a 3042 rated tire is going to be enough for a trailer that large?
