Conversion Kit

My hubby needs some help. Does anyone know of a conversion kit to use to change the brakes on the 5th wheel to disc brakes? We have a 2006 3400RL. Any comments would be appreciated. thanks

Mor/ryde does it. You have to install a hydraulic/electric box and copper tubing from the box to the brakes.

Mor-Ryde sells a kit as does Dexter. Has a Electric over Hydraulic master which then uses Stainless Steel (not copper) brake lines to run the hydraulic fluid / pressure to the individual wheels. Depending on the kit, you can get never-lube bearings as well. A word of caution - make sure your brake controller will handle Electric over Hydraulic brakes -- I have 2010 Dodge and the brake controller that came as part of the Laramie package does not support the brake master. I had to get another adapter from Dexter to make it work.

All that said -- disc brakes are great when in the mountains / long decents. In hind-sight, I now question their worth out on the Plains of Kansas.... but really super in Colorado and New Mexico...
