Howard
Been on the road 2 years next month. Figure we will need another year or so to see all we want to see. Doing the east coast currently. My advice here is bring your wallet. Paid over $900.00 to have my and my wife's teeth cleaned. Paid over $4000.00 to get the brakes working on my Big Sky. Up side is they kind of work now. If I put the controller on max, I can feel them. I'm glad we decided to do this now while we can still climb and do the long hikes. Another 10 years and we would not be able to do all that we are now doing. Meet the nicest people with the best stories as we travel.

Do what? You just got robbed, hope they used a cheap pistol!!
I live in Va and just paid $110 to have my teeth cleaned.
You can buy everything including back plate to replace everything on the brakes, the shoes magnets everything for under $70. It should take no more than a half hour per wheel to do the work. $4000 WHAT, they gota be nuts.
Where was both done? The rest of us need to advoid these 2 places.

Do you have a bullseye on your forehead and wallet?! Cleaning with x-rays in Chattanooga $125 this past week (wife).
I just upgraded to disc brakes for $1550.

Definitely a scam. I replaced all the back plate assemblies (eTrailer) and seals for a TOTAL of under $400. If a mechanic had done it, they reasonably could have charged around $400 - 500 more.
