Chevy LTZ Owners??

The question is this.... what made you decide on a LTZ option rather than just a work truck or LT? Not to leave out Ram and Ford owners... so why did you buy the HIGH option truck?

I just today ordered a F150. The same thing would apply. I couldn’t get what I wonted on the cheaper truck and if you are choosey it’s not that much more expensive. I always choose to order my trucks. I get what I wont to a point. I would have liked to get two tone paint with grey interior, not offered. You get tan interior.
Go to their web site and see what is available and build your truck on line. Then go set down with an experienced sales person to discuss what you wont. And most important go drive all three trucks several times each. Then choose which is best for you. Don’t have the biggest mistake of all and not get the best truck for you.

I've been towing with an '11 Silverado LT, with some upgraded options, but didn't want all the extras of the LTZ and saved a few bucks.
Now currently have an '18 Silverado High Country on order. Kept going through the Build Your Own on the GM site and by the time I had the options I wanted it was easier to just go "Whole Hog" and get the High Country.
As for the Work Trucks, I looked at them as a possible by installing a Hauler Body, but on the WTs you're limited as to some of the Creature Comfort options, and I don't need the Power Takeoff either.

All the manufacturers are very crafty at structuring and pricing their options and option packages so that by the time you load up a cheaper trim level with the options you want, it is more cost effective to order the higher trim level, even if it has a bunch of crap you don't want. Besides, I thought Chevy was dropping the LTZ from the lineup? Something about a final F-you to Bob Lutz, whom the LTZ was named after, according to folklore.

As of the 2018 Silverado's you start with the Work Truck, LT, LTZ, and High Country

For us the option package came down to a few “must haves”. Leather interior vs cloth, heated seats ( for the wife) and navigation. Also wanted the factory installed 5th wheel/gooseneck hitch prep. Could not find a Chevy that had all of those. All the LTZ’s we looked at had the interior options but none had the hitch prep. Found a F350 ps Latiat with everything we wanted and bought that.

I have a 15 Chevrolet plus cab long box dually work truck 6.0 gas. They are not as Spartan as they used to be and many fancy options are unneeded for us. The work truck does everything I need, has adequate power and cost a lot less. had to go from northern il to Tulsa to find one though. Yes, gas, it works fine and I don't have to go to the stinky pump!

This time we got the King Ranch F350 loaded with tow package. Gives us the puck system and pre- wired 7 way plug. I did not get the factory hitch instead I got the adapter so that I could use my old hitch. $1,400 for the factory hitch $300 for the adapter and the hitch was free as I already owned it.

We find the King Ranch leather to be a lot more comfortable for these old bones. Plus I have ALL the toys inside I lust for. We decided we are far too old to try to save a few bucks and got what we beleave we deserve. But each to his own.

Wayne, pretty much what we decided, just Chevy High Country. At this point in our lives we felt we deserved to be pampered for a change.

After looking at work trucks and trying to find a LT, that had to be shipped in from another dealer, looked at a local LTZ last night. Pulled that big boy into MY garage tonight. Lots of stuff I may never need but the wife said it was the better deal because of the leather and other things. As most of you guys.. I don't argue with the wife when she is right lol.

If you are talking to me be glad to. 2018 3500hd 4x4 LTZ white with black leather. I guess the easy way to talk options is that it does not have sun roof or the rear dvd. Like the extras but don't need a lot of it. I told my son that I was spending his inheritance. lol At least I am sure that I am not over weight on pin and total weight. Going Wednesday to get a B&W hitch installed and spray in liner then I will be looking for a companion. Wish it had the factory puck but can't get everything I guess.

It was easy for me. I wanted a dually, and it was the only one they had. I didn't (and don't) care about leather and all the other fluff. But, 10 years later, I have to say, I like it.:-)

This is the first time we've owned a LTZ. Won't be going back to a LT.

I’m amazed at now much these trucks cost now. I have a 08 F250 6.4 Diesel King Ranch 53K new. Just ordered a 18 Lariat, nothing special standard 2.7 Ecbboost engine 4X4 no high end packages 51K. Loaded up way over 60K. The Lariat is the mid range truck, with the XL and XLT under it and the KR and platinum over it.
