Furnace Won't shut off

Well it is 90 degrees, both ac's are on and the furnace is on. Will not shut off unless you turn off propane tank. Had this happen about 3 weeks ago. Took it to CW and they replaced two boards. One in furnace and one in back AC so they said. Two days later same thing. Called mobile service repair out, paid out of my pocket said it was my thermostat. Replaced it. Worked fine for about 10 days. Left that location and while in travel furnace started coming on by its self. Stat completely shut off. Shut down twice by shutting off propane but will not stay off. Has anyone experienced this or ideas. Thanks Joe

Have you made sure that your thermostat, when in heat mode, has the fan set to AUTO mode? We had the same thing happen a while back, and that was the problem.

Fan is on Auto. I even put the old thermostat back on just to see if that would make a difference. Nothing. Still have to turn off propane. Looking for a breaker that would shut it off but none labeled just furnace. May have to start pulling fuses. Need the propane while traveling for the frig.

I have checked as close as I can see. Nothing so far. Just does this intermittent when you least expect it. Just happened again about 10 minutes ago. Finally found the correct fuse that shuts the furnace down. Sure wish Keystone would label correct. Just 3 spaces off. Just started pulling until I found it. Will take back to CW so they can tear up some more trying to fix but don't have much other choice. sure wish there was.

This is why I love CW. Called there service dept. that had repaired this so they say before. Was placed on hold for over 15 minutes. Then some guy picks up phone says service rep. Went to lunch and will be back in a hour sorry. I guess could not take the call. I called back in a 1 and a half and was advised she had left for the day. Well Well. Just normal CW BS. I have purchased 5 new fifth wheels from them but I assure you they will never see me buy another from them. Love my Montana, Understand things go wrong. I use the heck of of mine. But when you pay for service and repairs you kinda expect something for your money. CW is really goin down the tubes lately. Will be looking for someone else who can sell me a Montana. Getting hard to find as they are buying everyone up. OK I am off my soap box now.

You can always just pull the wires on the gas valve. If valve can't turn on gas flow...furnace can't run. Your situation sounds like the thermostat not being solely in cool mode, but when you said that the furnace will run even with thermostat off...well...more like wiring issues. Good luck. John

Remove the outside access cover and check for moisture on the printed circuit board. If wet, blow it off and let it dry. Also, find the source of the moisture and fix/eliminate it.

Thanks Ted, you may be on to something there. I had not had the problem until I washed the unit yesterday just before I left. I will check tomorrow and see if I can see moisture. Thanks again to all of you for your help on this. If and when I get it fixed or cured I will post the results. Joe

Had the same thing happen to my 2014 3155RL . What it was , when they stripped the insulation to make a splice for the thremostat wire in the basement . They stripped about an 1 1/2" and when they cripped the wire nut , it lefted about 1" of bare wire that would short out on a metal stud. The reason I found was it was getting dark out and I saw a spark when I moved the themostat wire in back of the furnace..
Hope this helps you out.

Well hopefully after 5 trips to CW I hope they have my furnace issue fixed. They pulled the access panel off and put a guy inside in the dark and started pulling on wires. Sure enough the furnace came on. It was caused by lack of workmanship on crimping the group of wires together.. They gave me the old wires they cut out and the connectors were not even touching inside the wire crimped ends. They put on new connectors soddered and shrink sealed all new connections. Fixed three other potential problems with wiring on the water pump as well. Fingers crossed. Joe
