Hose for water hookup

I was wondering if any of you use those expandable hoses for your water hookup if so which ones.... I just have the camco 25ft water hose. I keep everything in totes on my rv.. Not I realize this sounds like such a first world problem, but it's such a pain dealing with the hose after use... Since, typically on my last day of camping, we wake up early and tear down.. I just have to toss my hose in the compartment and then wait until I'm home and let it sit out in the sun for a few hours before I'm able to get it coiled up nicely a d put back in the tote...

Just curious as to what the rest of you Seasoned Pros do in this situation.

Thanks
Jer

Some of those expandable hoses say not to keep them under pressure all the time. If you are going to use it for the water line hook up, be sure to read the fine print on the label.

Collapsing hoses aren't recommended for potable water. The white hoses are. Like drinking from the garden hose when you were a kid

I just purchased this one and couldn't be happier. It is super lightweight and easy to travel with. States on the box that it is safe for drinking water. It also comes with a 2 year warranty as long as you register it. I'll be donating the white hose shortly.

Nick, that hose looks like an off shoot of the Zero G Hoses, and look to be priced similar.

That hose you put in the link appears to have an inner liner that looks superior to previous collapsible hoses. In the past, if left under pressure the outer layer would split and the thin inner layer blew up like a balloon until it popped and water was spraying everywhere. If you purchases please post an update on how it performs.

This is the one I use from Zero G. It states it is for RV use, although it is new to our camper. I will report back after a couple of adventures.https://www.lowes.com/pd/Zero-G-5-8-...Hose/999972996

Another vote for the Zero G hoses. I have 2 for potable water at 25' each. Also, a 50' grey one for the black tank flush. They work so well, I bought 2 more 50' hoses for home.

Another vote for the Zero G hoses. We have been using them for about 3 years now with no leaks ever even when they have been dragged over rocks and stuff.

Zero-G 4001-25 Lightweight, Ultra Flexible, Durable, Kink-Free, drinking water safe, 5/8-Inch by 25 feet. I use brass quick disconnects at each end for fast connect / disconnect. I also use the same on my boats.

I use ZeroG hoses for my drinking water supply. I have a 15' and a 25' hose allowing me to reach up to 40'. ZeroG hoses are soft and easy to roll up for storage and don't suffer the high failure rate of "bullet" hoses.

Zero G here also. As others have said, Zero G looks a lot like the Aqua Joe.

I use the white hose but I don't purchase the 25 or 50 ft versions. I purchase 10 ft and 4 ft lengths and I connect them to the length I need from the campground faucet to the hose I have going into my whole house filter. I also have two of the expanding hoses but only use them for black tank washout since I also have one of the washouts that connect to the sewer line exit pipe. Those are 25 and 50 ft when expanded but I can store them nearly anywhere since they shrink up to nearly nothing.

I also use a blue Zero G hose. Works great and easy to store.

I did several days of research on hoses and came to the conclusion that the Zero-G was the way to go. Others had too many bad reviews about leaking and poor construction. Went to buy one and found none available other than $80.00 and I looked every ware. I gave it a couple of weeks and they were back in stock at CW, Apex RV/Marine Hybrid Hose $26.99 to 36.99 (Great place to buy from as long as what you want does not have wheels).

So can anyone explain the difference between the Black Garden variety and the Blue RV/Marine hoses. The Black comes n 5/8" diameter and the Blue come in 1/2" diameter. Both say suitable for drinking water. I like the larger diameter of the Black. But do I have to buy a Blue for my RV?
