Mounting brackets

I am thinking about mounting tools (rake, washing brush handle, that type stuff.) I purchased the spring grip clamps, the tool is pushed into and it locks.
Issue is I don't know what to use to anchor the clamps to the side compartment wall.

Most of the side compartment walls I have seen are just 1/2" osb covered with some gray felt type material. Just use any screw just long enough to not go through the osb too far. If you have to remove them later, the holes will be barely noticeable.

Get a 1"X4" board and mount that first then mount the spring clips to taht. I would use bolts with nuts and drill all the way thru the wall then put a fender washer on the backside. It's a little more trouble that way but it will assure you that you have plenty holding it up and it will stiffen the wall a bit. It will also give you a sturdy mounting point for other stuff....
