No Locking Ring On 50 AMP Plug?

We picked up our new 2008 3500 Montana last week. I noticed there is NO locking ring on the female plug for the 50 amp plug.
Is this normal? My 2008 Mountaineer has this feature. The dealer says this the way Montana does it.
What keeps it locked when you turn it in?
Thanks for any answers in advance on this!

Again, this is a Great Forum!
