Not all models are the same, but for sure on our 2955RL that valve "between the wheels" is the GALLEY tank discharge. The black tank and grey tank valve handles are in the service side storage compartment.
I believe owners of other models have mentioned this same arrangement. Still, one must be careful of generalizations based on one's own experience.

We too have the 3685FL 2005 model, on ours they are in compartment on the bedroom slide side close to bedroom slide. Between bedroom and Dinette slide in small compartment down on the skirting marked sewer dump values. They are two handles in there left one is black and right one is gray water. The galley pull handle is in front of front tire under the dinette slide.

There's a switch by the dining room that controls the fireplace???? Mine doesn't have one. Must be a mid-year modification.

I think it depended on what they hooked the switch to. Mine controls the 2nd A/C

I'm going to have to investigate this a little further because our Monty has the fireplace and the wiring for the 2nd A/C. No switch.

I'm talking about the switch back along the wall to the right of the door as you would walk thru to go to the back bedroom. It sits there all by itself. I had a hard time figuring out what it was for and one day we had both A/C's on and I flipped it and the A/C quit. Turned it back on and A/C started back up. At least that's what mine is wired to do.

Learn something new every day. I do not have any "extra switches" in my 3400RL, but now that I said that you watch... I will find one this spring. =)

We don't have any in our 3400 - I'm sure as I've gone over every inch of it cleaning.
Happy trails......................

Sue,
Glad to hear that you nor I have anything extra. Nothing drives me nuts like owning something for almost 3 years now and one day finding something that I had no clue was there. =)

I don't have the extra switch in my 2005, 3685FL either, must have changed something in 2005 production models.

xea I'm sure you brought back memories for lots of folks. Reminds me of the time we were waiting to dispose of our weekend water supply that we had gathered at a dumpstation in Port Huron, Michigan. Here we were second in line and in front of us, there was this middle aged couple, I think it was their first trailer, and they were sitting on the concrete, manual in hand, trying to figure out where this pretty blue, new hose goes. We enjoyed watching them for a while and then Dennis got out and helped them.. We have all been there at some time. Have fun, you have a beautiful rig.
