I have noticed a small leak on the middle jack on the door side of my Montana 3402 RL. At this point I am planning on just adding fluid and will watch it for a while I have been sitting still for about 2 months. I am planning on adding about a 1/3 of a pint to reservoir. Any danger of adding too much?

I had a slight leak on my left front jack. Checked the tightness of the hydraulic hose connections and found one slightly loose, tighten and hasn't leaked in years now.

If you have all the jacks and slides fully retracted, fill the reservoir to within maybe 1/2" below the lip where you fill it, and you will be good.

Is it safe to add some fluid without pulling in slides and jacks? I am all set up and would prefer to wait until I move after 1/1/21 to check again at that time if possible.

If you add fluid without retracting jacks and slides, you run the risk of the reservoir overflowing. You really don't know how much fluid to add until all the jacks and slides are in.

Had similar leak on 3711fl. I stopped the leak by putting a bottle of transmission stop leak in the fluid and cycled the system a couple of times. Just a thought.

The pix shows two landing gear, a black and a silver one. Mine is silver so I'm confused. The price the rep gave me was $524.95 and a discount code to apply.
Was able to find #43346910 at https://store.lci1.com/rh-lg-cyl-250...-43346910.html. No Photo of part though. Details show Keystone # 557807.
I was not able to find seal kits for the 14K gear but kits I did locate like for 16K legs were near $200. I would think being hydraulic rams the boring used would be standard. But who wants to take apart then be unable to find them.

We are in the hydraulic cylinder business. Sometimes it turns out that you can have the cylinder repaired very cheap if it is not scored up inside. It could be as simple as a bad seal. Depending on what seal you need it could be as low as $10-$20. Labor to open it up and look inside is the variable. I'd say any hour and it should be open if you have all the tools. Most city's have a local hydraulic repair shop that can fix about anything. If the rod going down to the foot is bent, then that could cost more to fix that buying a new cylinder. They are really easy to rebuild if you can get it apart. Use Google to find a local shop. Make a call. It could turn out far better for you.
