I plan to replace my Sailun S637 tires. They have 2018 / 2019 manufacturer dates. I am considering ordering from Walmart (SimpleTire). Those of you who purchased the Sailuns from Walmart, did you receive "fresh" (recent manufacturer date) tires?

The ones I bough from Walmart a few years ago were less than 6 month old.

Hmm, no one mentioned really heavy duty tires like Michelin XPS or Bridgestone Commercial TA? They are perhaps twice as expensive as Sailuns....
That's what I run for my just under 14k Montana Big Sky.

The ".. really heavy duty tires like Michelin XPS or Bridgestone Commercial TA..." are expensive and not really heavy duty. They both are Load Range E Light Truck (LT) tires. They are rated to carry 3042 lbs which is barely enough (with no reserve capacity) for 6K axle.

Current Montanas have 7K axles and RVIA specifies a 15% reserve capacity. Hence the use of "G" rated tires with ~4K rating.

I concur with Karanmatt's comment regarding "G" rating. Greater load capacity!

Cheers

Before you buy Sailun's you might want to search the Montana Owners site for other comments; there were some negative ones a couple of years ago. I had Sailun's and didn't have any problems but recently changed due to age (5 years) and went with Carlisle this time. Initially Sailun's were made in China, now they're made in Vietnam. China moved the factory due to trade sanctions I think. Not sure if there's any quality difference. I also use Discount Tire for service and they recommended the Carlisle's (also made in China). I second getting G rated too.
