Amarillo Travel Information Center

Has anyone ever overnighted at the Amarillo Travel Information Center? On my way to Tuscon and it would fit in well as an overnight stopover. Breakfast - gas up - and we are on the road again!!

If you are referring to the Texas Travel Information Center, I have been there but not stayed there. EZ on/off of I-40 with large truck/RV parking area. But they do not have fuel or restaurant there. There were not many trucks parked there as they mostly stop in the truck stops.

But I think the Flying J, directly across I-40 from the Texas Travel Center, has a Denny's.

If you are referring to Travel Centers of America (TA) in the same general area but a little farther west, it is a regular large truck stop, of which there are 2-3 others in the same area. Don't know what food they have.

Thanks for the info. I will probably defer to Flying J. Grandkids and all.

Probably a lot quieter to stay at the travel center and then cross over to the Flying J the next morning for breakfast and fuel. A Google sat view of both shows one truck in the truck/RV parking area of the travel center. Get one of the edge slots and put your slides out. Flying J shows around 35 trucks.
