Furnace filter
Has anyone found where the furnace filter is located?
I looked from the outside, in the basement and thru the grill in the steps none found. We stay where the furnace or fireplace runs a few days a week. Always dusting and have already cleam the fireplace of dust to keep it running.
Just put a cut-to-fit filter in the steps. Now concerned about airflow. The manual indicates the return air s/b 80 sq inches. Steps provide twixe this.
How you you dealt with this issue?

The rig wasn't shipped with a furnace filter. Many folks have installed a filter under the steps. Others of us just leave it as is.

Dick has it 100%...no filter system built into the system. Dusting is a means of insuring you get enough exercise so you live long enough to buy another montana. John

We don't bother about a furnace filter! We just keep dusting as necessary and only wish we could continue to do that MORE months out of every year.

Thx for the feedback and humor. A couple of days of furnace running has shown filters are working well.
Now if we can just get rid of the remaining stink bugs the rig acquired in Goshen last fall we'll be happy.

No worrries about your air flow. The area that your furnace draws from is all one big space. Not only does it draw air from under the steps, but inside your storage compartment and belly as well. There are no walls separating any of this from one another completely unless there has been a design change since 2012.
