I clean my roof on a pretty regular basis and have many round spots. They are not mold but area's where the glue has come loose from the plywood roofing. Probably have 50 in total most smaller than a silver dollar. They don't look like mold but do look different than the rest of the roof. They won't scrub off. Looked at many RV's over the years and most rubber roofs have similar traits. I read about it a lot and have deduced it is not worth worrying about, in other words it is very common. Just keep the roof clean with dawn and water and it should serve you well. Ours is on it's 8th year and doing what it is suppose to do.
Now if yours really is mold disregard my remarks as they are not pertinent. Jim

Blue Dawn dish detergent, warm water, a bit of chlorine bleach mixed in(not too strong), a little elbow grease, and a not-too-stiff bristle brush does wonders.

Just remember to do small sections at a time, and it helps to have an assistant to keep the sides of the rig constantly rinsed off.

There will always be some patches of mildew that are stubborn, but if the roof is kept clean and dry, exposure to the sun will reduce the spots and can turn them white again.

I cleaned my roof this afternoon with the Camco stuff that has a sprayer. It is called a cleaner and conditioner. You simply spray the roof with water and then spray the cleaner and scrub with a brush on a stick. It cleaned the roof well, however I have a lot of black specs on the roof that I was not able to clean off. I assume it is some kind of pollution. Anyone have black specs on their roof, and any idea what I can use to clean them off?

We have had those specks on all our rigs and I gave up long ago trying to get them off, scrubbing can cause more damage than the stains I think.

Have lots and lots of small spots on mine. It was terrible when I bought it new in Southern Alabama...less so now. It does seem to be getting better with age. I keep on top of cleaning it and I do use a dilute chlorine mixture to get it back to something like normal. Now it's just lots of little tan spots and they can stay there as far as I am concerned.
