2013 3402 Big sky report
We are happy campers but we said we would do this so here we go.
Good PDI. blemish found on underside of awning by dealer.new one ordered..How did that get past quality check.
Valve stem loose causing loss of tire pressure..How did that get by quality check.
Pantry door will not close.Improper alignment..How did that get by quality checks.....Stay tuned..
385 Mile trip to Lancaster PA for the N.E rally.Perfect trip no problems.
Question. How come we did not know there were some Graphics on the "full body paint.
Door over P.C desk and MW opens up and no means to keep it up....How dumb is that.
Level up system is awesome and works perfectly.
Full body paint (not) is well done and looks great.. no flaws
Little things and dumb things..but no excuse for any of them.
This is a far better unit than the 2006 3400. So far every system works perfectly.
BTW.. This entire thread goes to Keystne/Montana and we know where to send it.

Did Keystone tell you there were no graphics?

Rich. Looks like small faults which is good but still could be an indication of QC. I know Keystone adverstise full body paint and this probably should be changed. However, I was told at the Fall Rally that everything was full body paint except the words Big Sky. Maybe I was one of the few that knew. This is by no means a defense for Keystone. Keystone probably needs to change their advertisement to reflect that there are decals on the Big Sky so buyers do not purchase unaware.

I am really having trouble visualizing since we are waiting for an updated signature photo or some photos?????? I agree on the vertical opening doors, the 3750 is chock full of them and previous posters have remedied it with struts (which should have been included by Keystone/Montana in the first place). That item is next on our "to do" list.

List sounds pretty good considering it is an entire house on wheels. I hope our PDI goes as well as yours! Enjoy the new trailer Rich and Helen.

No kidding - I feel like I could have built one myself by now! Just heard today that the Level-Up circuit board finally came in, and they are still waiting for one of the remotes which isn't working. How does a unit make it out of the factory with the star upgrade, the leveling system, not working??

No it is not bad at all. Nowhere in the Big Sky marketing does it say there are some graphcis. I am not upset that there are graphic but that the unit is marketed as full body paint.... and it is not. We will add struts to those two cabinets. It is dumb that there are none there. It woud be like NOT adding struts to the outside compartment doors.
On the pantry door we find that the hole for the latch is in the right place but the latch is installed to high. Small thing but poor workmanship.
A little attention to detail would result is a better product.

They're little things, but it's some of those stupid little things that people remember, things that shouldn't have happened.
Don't feel bad Rich, we didn't loose the toilet seat, but one of the hinge pins did fall out. Added a little silicone sealant to each and re-inserted and haven't come out since.
Oh BTW, can't you get John to take a new pic of you and Helen so you can update your signature???

In the Montana folder booklet it says Big Sky Package Items "Full Body Paint". On the web site the Big Sky Packages Premium Package it says " Big Sky exterior paint and graphics" Dealer stated when I bought my 2011 3580RL Big Sky that it had "full body paint just like cars"

I find the whole full body paint thing interesting. When you bought your truck did it say paint with emblems. The trailer has full body paint, with graphics. If you have ever looked at one the graphics are obvious, if you bought one with full body paint and had never looked at one to see the quality of paint job (very nice on the two we have looked at) same on you for not doing your homework on a very expensive option.

I said something to the factory reps several times about it. My sister's cheapo trailer had them, but not our Montana's.

Actually we did not look for graphics on the Big Sky. we were told over and over again that it was full body paint and yes shame on me for believing the marketing. Should have known better.I say again we are not disappointed with the paint and would have got the package if we had known there were a small amount of graphics.I am disappointed that it was not properly marketed. As for the truck it was not marketed as full body paint. To me full body paint means just that..I would and will suggest that the marketing be modified to accurately describe what full body paint means..Once again..we like our full body pint with a few graphics .

I can relate, I traded a Dodge Ram, that I had owned for almost two years, when I was cleaning it up for trade, I found out it had the stereo control function buttons on the back of steering wheel. How did I miss that for two years. Why didn't I know that.
