Thanks, Scottz for your help. I ordered the parts this morning and they should be here by Friday. Should make for a fun weekend project.

Well I completed scottz's suggested LED modification to my 3921FB Legacy Edition this morning. Very happy with the results and feel like I will be safer and easier seen with the LED brake/turn/running lights.

Did my install last week, dramatic difference in visibility!
One thing i did was use the retaining rings from the old tail lights as the lock rings from the LED started showing rust in two days.

Etrailer also has led clearance light upgrades. Remove old lens and bulb, plug in connector on new lens that has led built in, done.

Thanks Power guy for the suggestion on the retaining rings. It's a much heavier gauge of retainer ring.
Scottz thanks for the wire color code, it was a great help in sorting everything. Biggest problem was the LED lights came with very small gauge wire and short leads. Ended up soldering the wires together.

I also cut then attached heavier gauge wire to the lamps.

Did the tail light mod today and all lights work separately but when I turn headlights on the turn signal does not work but test light flashes. Do I need to change flasher in my older Chevy?

Do your brake lights work?

Yes brake works. I even put tester on turn signal wire at led & it flashes but light doesn't. I also changed my truck flasher to the led comparable one with no luck today.

Seems odd. I assume that the lights on your truck are flashing? I was going to suggest that you had the polarity swapped; unlike OEM bulbs, LED's are polarity sensitive. However, if the brake lights work on the trailer, the flashers should work.

For what it's worth, here is my wiring diagram.

Thanks for the help. Lights are working great now. The wiring diagram was the key.

Great job! I want to do the same on my 2014 Big Sky. I'll have to measure to see if the OEM are 4" or 5". I'm not an electrician, so if there a way to pig tail or crimp the backlight to the brake/turn lights? Also, the white backup strip light...how did you connect the wiring? Thanks for any time since your post was some time ago.
