High Country paint oxidation

Good Evening, we just purchased a new to us 2016 High Country 370BR. The exterior paint and extremely faded on the rear, and in spotty areas on the left (backside), front cap and right side (front side) shine like a new penny. I had a detailer try to buff it today with no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help!

There isn’t much you can do to restore the finish on your camper. Anything you do will be temporary except for painting it and I doubt you will go to that much trouble and expense. There is something you can do with your camper enjoy it.

We have a 2014 HC . I assume its the same gel coat . We get ours detailed every couple years. They do a cut and buff process on the sides and back and turns out really nice . now for the front, We had major problems with oxidation only after a year. We went to Keystone and they agreed to paint the front cap. That has looked new ever since. We now keep the unit in a metal building and need to have buffed about every three years.
May want to find a better detailer that is used to working with boats and RVs

First, welcome to the site. Lots of good folks and good information here

Our '14 is pretty dull except for the repainted front cap. For whatever reason it didn't get more then a passing swipe last year. This spring it will get a complete cut and buff to restore the nice look.

Most automotive detalers just don't know how to restore a good look to a very large RV. It takes significant time and effort, some heavy duty tools beyond a clay bar or DA buffer - polisher. It may require strong polishing compounds - and possibly a product like PolyGlow to bring back that color.

If you can't do it yourself, find an RV or marine repair shop that can do the job
