Fireplace having issues
Hey guys I just picked up a '22 385BR and at the dealership during the PDI, the guy was showing us the fireplace. When he turned it on, the lights all come on and then shut right off, the fan blows cold air for maybe 20 seconds then shuts off as well. Do that several times and it will stay on and blow hot air or come back and try it and 50/50 it will turn on or act that way. He statet that was a normal furrion thing. That does not seem right to me?

Not at all correct functioning, when i turn mine on it goes on and stays on. The only thing may be the temp setting is set too low and causing it to shutoff.

Ours works great. We have a ‘21 3671 fl, and have had zero issues with the fireplace. I’d make them replace it!

Put it on the PDI repair list along with all the other stuff. Don't accept until it works.

This is what I found wrong with mine 2016 310re.
One wire going to the breaker was not connected,
It was outside of hole in the breaker causing it to over heat and trip the breaker.
(Shown in picture)
Once it was corrected it worked fine.

I would not take my rig back to that dealership, either they have no clue what they are doing, or??? I would like to think he is a new technician. but if so, why would the dealership assign him to the buyer inspection?

Todd and Mary... it's all about money. A dealer more than likely isn't going to place a seasoned line mechanic out with the PDI going on. He can make more money off him in the shop. When we bought a fiver with level up, the attendant keeping us company during the PDI didn't know any more than I did about how it worked nor was he confident about the valving in the convenience center.

NO! I suggest you YouTube the functionality of the type of fireplace you have. It sounds like a sensor is not working or malfunctioning. I had a similar issue, and found a work-around for the sensor on mine which works all of the time now!
Best of Luck

We are just wrapping up our 5th year of snowbirding in the south and we use our fireplace constantly to keep the chill off, sometimes running it for weeks at a time. Once the room temperature reaches the temp setting the blower will run till it's cool and then shut down and the flame lighting will stay on.
When I start it from the off state it will light up and stay on regardless of temperature. This is the normal function. The pdi guy is totally incorrect.
Make them fix it before you take delivery.
