discouraging pack rats

I found a place to store my SUV in AZ while we run around the country, after we leave this park. What I am wondering...... how do I discourage pack rats from invading my car? Is there some kind of remedy to keep critters away? It will not be near an electrical plug in. It will have a cover on it and covers for the tires.
Please help!

2 words===Moth Balls (or is that 1 word?)

Place the mothballs or moth balls on paper plates. Put some under the hood, under the front and back seat and in the rear cargo area and your critter problem is solved, gauranteed.

I agree. They work great under houses to repel snakes also.

Thank you for the information Glenn. We will try the moth balls. Will make sure the vehicle is aired out before using it this fall. Rats could do a lot of damage to the electrical systems in a vehicle and make a big mess too.
Will have it locked so no one should be inside it while we are gone.

Found a place next door to our snow bird park to store it for $25 dollars a month. That is where MH people here, store their car dolly's.
I think this is an excellent price. Cheapest I had found was $60 a month!

Borax around the tires (on the ground) should help with bugs/critters as well.
