Hydraulic leak still
We were suppose to take our trailer to Lippert to have our leaking problem analyzed and repaired. Due to medical problems we could not make the trip prior to leaving for Colorado. We did have Monte in for routine service and they were able to replace the one leaking fitting. Unfortunately the new fitting is also leaking. If we have time before we leave, I will take it back so that they can hopefully repair it properly. If not I'm thinking that once we open or close the slide, that I may be able to stop the leak by closing the valve that controls that slide. Of course I will have to remember to open the valve prior to operating that slide. Any comments?

I don't know where your fitting that leaks is, but if they did indeed change the fitting ... either the metal hose end (it has the female part for the flare) has a defect or whatever the replaced fitting screws into may well have a crack in it. I doubt if closing the valve will temporarily cure your problem ... those valves just isolate flow. Once your slides are either all the way in or all the way out ... just barely bump the slide switch in the opposite direction, this will take residual system pressure off and may slow down the leak. If it's on a level up system, the bumping of the slide button will do no good.

The fitting that is leaking is for the kitchen slide and the fitting that was replaced is the end that screws in where the valves are located. It is a new fitting and the hose company that did the replacement has done a good job with my other problems, but not this one. We have Dr appointments Mon & Wed with the hopes that we can leave Thurs. I will try your suggestion and see if that slows the leak.

Like I mentioned if you get back to them ... have them check the flare on the hose end for damage and the aluminum manifold that the fitting screws into for a crack. Perhaps the o-ring on the new fitting was damaged upon installation??? Let us know what solves your riddle.
I was rethinking ... perhaps it wouldn't hurt to try the valve closing like you proposed. The worst it can do is nothing.
