Dubois Wy Military Museum

I posted about seeing Wyoming on another thread and it got me thinking about Dubois. It is 70 miles east of Tetons.

I doubt many on here realize it has the Largest Military vehicle museum in the USA. All private created by a VERY rich doctor from the midwest. It has only been open 2 years now, so brand new. I think it has 400 vehicles from tanks to motorcycles. Supposedly one of every military vehicle used in by the USA in WW2.
I think military might get in free and seniors half price. They take the tanks out for July 4 parade(s?). The town is a nice little town with I think 4 rv parks (my favorite is a couple miles east - Longhorn RV park right on the river.
Side note - the Wind River goes thru there and is the same as the Big Horn river farther downstream. Apparently the mountain trappers named the Wind River and the settlers named the Big Horn! They decided it was too much trouble to change all the maps, so left them with their own names.

Dan Starks build it. He owns the StJudes pharmacy. I have a friend who lives in Dubois where the museum is located. The locals can account for 1/2 billion dollars he has spent. The military museum is 140,000 square feet and over 100 million. He had tanks flown in from Europe. His wife likes to bowl so he built a bowling alley in Dubois for the locals. If you need a medevac helicopter he pays for that for any of the residents of Dubois. That ride can be over a hundred miles. Medical attention is a big problem in much of Wyoming. People move in live there for a while and start thinking what would happen if I has a heart attack. A hospital is hours away. They get scared and move out.

Sorry I got this wrong. I was talking the word from a friend.
Here is what Dan Starks said:

Well, I spent 32 years in the medical device business based in Minneapolis/St. Paul in Minnesota. So that was my big job. I've retired from that beginning in 2017, and now I'm spending most of my time on the museum.
