Newbies

We just bought our first RV and are living in it as our weekday home due to working out of town and going home weekends. Bought a 3582RL and towed it to our site with a Silverado 2500HD. Since that first haul we bought a Silverado 3500HD Dually (sp?) and think it will be a better match for the camper.

Looking forward to learning a lot from all of the experienced Montana owners. We will be living in it year round and will be asking lots of questions about winter living I'm sure.

Welcome we have the same model and love it. I spend at least 7 months a year in it and have found it easy to live in. The MOC group are knowledgeable and friendly ready to help.

Winter will depend on where you are and how comfortable you will be. In the minus numbers will surely mean some real propane usage. But you should be comfortable and enjoy each day as it comes. Tow vehicle is great. Welcome. John

Welcome to the MOC. This is your best source of information regarding your new Montana. It sounds like you're new to RV'ing. Nothing like jumping in at the top! Be sure to ask questions. There is always someone here that can answer them.

Welcome to the forum! While many of us go south for the winter there is still a good size group who do live in their Monty in the winter and will be of great help to you. Just post threads asking questions and you will get answers.

Welcome to the MOC Forum and congrats on the 3582RL. It's a great unit and we have a 2013 unit that came off the line just before the 2014's came out. It has the 2013 outside and the 2014 interior. Great unit! We are in Nebraska and have been unable to head out during the winter because of some surgeries and etc but we have headed south prior both to Florida and Arizona and points across the Southwest. We plan on heading to AZ again this winter. You did not say whether you are living in NY during the winter in your unit or not. As has been said earlier, there are some that have lived in their Montana's over the winter in COLD weather and I hope they will chime in here and let you know what you will have to do IF you do plan on living in the unit in COLD weather. I think you'll like the 3500 much better than the 2500 for towing. Take care and hope to meet you down the highways and biways across our great country! If you can make the MOC Fall Rally in Goshen, Indiana, it is a great learning experience and a chance to meet some of the MOC members from across the nation. Check it out under the Rally section here on the Forum.
