Looking at Montana 3582RL

I've just recently joined the forum as I'm thinking about purchasing a 3582RL and wanted to see what the most current problems with the Montana's are. It seems to be the closet doors, toilet and hydraulics. Of these it seems to be the closet doors that can be blamed on Keystone as a poor design. The rest to me seem to be the suppliers. Is this a correct conclusion? Any other things I should be concerned about?
Besides that it sure seems like a nice rig.

We shopped for a long time before we got ours. I really do believe it is the best out there, unless you get into the $100,000+ category. As many have stated - there are problems with all of them. Any "house" you pull down the highway will have problems.

Just bought our 4th a 2015/3610 two months ago with zero problems so far. We are totally pleased with the fit/finish and feel the build quality is every bit as good or better than any of our 3 previous. Don't be scared off by those who bash the product.

One thing you have to remember is that this is a very large forum and one of the reasons folks belong is to get help with problems. That means that you see problems on here that are statistically small in nature, but large to the folks who have them. The member list takes up 874 pages so many Montana owners are fully satisfied and have no problems.

We have a 2012 3582 and have been very happy with it. If you want to talk live send me a PM and I can give you my cell. It is a very nice floor plan. There are several very nice new ones as well.

Thanks for the replys. I agree that on any forum you have people venting as they are very unhappy about their problems. However, it does indicate what the most occurring problems are.
We own a 2009 Open Range 337RLS and are happy with it except for the recurring slide problems. There is lots of discussion on the Open Range forum about that. I think it's time to trade it off before there is no trade in value.

We are extremely happy with our Montana. Have had one toilet issue when at rally in Goshen and Keystone sent a tech out to us and had a new one installed within 2 hours. No other problems at all.

We have a 2014, we have taken it out six times with very few problems, the worst are the tank gages but not too bad really, the bathroom cabinet gets in the sink and the faucet could have been placed better, we love the comfort and the conveniences of the rig, very easy to setup and take down, let us know what you decide.

We have a 2010 Mountaineer and just love it. We just bought a 2015 3582RL and will be picking it up on the 24th of this month. The Mountineer has been a worry free rig. But we wanted a bit more room as we are in it at least 6 plus months a year. As for this forum it is the BEST it has saved me money and agrevation. Good luck and have fun with your Montana.

We have a 3580RL in a 2011 Big Sky and love it. The floor plan is great. No big problems. Only small draw back is with the Big Sky package it came with the radias shower that is on the small side for me. Really like that you can get to the refrigerator, toilet and bed with the slides in, real handy while on the road.

Still looking and still have to convince my wife that we really need to spend all that money. The first offer from the dealer was $71,900 and he would give me 20K for my trailer. The trailer has every option available including the G tires. Decisions, decisions.

Is that $71,900 Canadian?

If US $, then you can find them for considerably less such as,
Camping world
or
Holiday World RV
among others.

Yes that is Canadian. I've seen them cheaper but none seem to have all the options such as awning toppers and G tires.

We just got our 2013 3402 big Sky back from the dealer were they replaced two failed holding tanks, replaced a wall panel that pulled out , stapled the bottoms of 3 chairs that fell out. Repaired the main entry door that never closed properly, repaired the rear screen that was not installed properly and re installed the wall sconce over the kitchen slide that fell off. the dealer did a excellent job and our GS extended warranty covered all but the deductible and some routine maint we had done. Excecpt for those few recent problems we have been trouble free.

Well, I guess we are now part of the Montana family. Today we purchased a used 2012 Montana 3400 which is in awesome shape. Doesn't have the self leveling, but I'm just going to have to suck that up. My wife Ros and I go to Quartzsite every winter and stay in the desert dry camping. Really looking forward to going with a little bigger trailer and a lot more storage.

Since you will be in Quartzsite anyway, you really need to join us at the 10th Annual Circling of the Montanas http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=58311

Plus Lifestyle RV (I am pretty sure that is the name) out towards Dome Rock is a factory trained (and the original Level Up designer hangs around there) installer of Level Up. Several members took advantage of their really discounted price last year.

The 3400 is a great floor plan. Our first Montana was 06 3400 that we had for 7 years and over 70K miles. We now have the 13 3402 Big sky which is the same floor plan. I talk about Montana problems not to vent or bash but to make others aware and to help them to be proactive.

We'll have to stop by the rally but as we set up for the winter in November we don't move again until March. I do remember seeing a level up system at RV Lifestyles however I didn't know that they had a factory trained installer.
Thanks for the info.
