Power Reclining Chair Issues

Our two reclining chairs have the heated seats, the massage, a USB port for charging, and a lower led strip by the floor. Here are the issues:

1. One chair will not move. I'm thankful it's in the up position.
2. Both chairs will not massage
3. Both lower led light strips do not work
4. Both USB ports work.

I turned both chairs upside down, and all the connections are in order, the green lights are on for power. I unplugged everything that could be and replugged everything. I removed the switch from the chair that will not recline, and course it's just one cord that plugs into the brain of the unit. Any suggestions? These chairs have very limited use.

No doubt you have Thomas Paine furniture. If so, call Lippert and talk to one of their guys. They'll help you figure out what's wrong and send you the part you need that's failing.

I broke one of our recliner actuator's (the motor and gear sliding mechanism that makes the recliner move up and down). I called Lippert, we talked about the type of chair I had, she knew what part I needed, ordered it right on the spot, and 4 days later had it in my hand. That evening, I replaced it and the chair is working nice again.

Give them a call. Save yourself a headache and guess work and call the experts. I was really impressed with their service, and mine was just over the phone.

Call Lippert. I would think from your description you have a bad switch

Had the same thing with ours when we bought the unit, except it would raise and lower. They finally just replaced the whole thing under warranty last month. It took 10 months to get the new recliners in due to the Covid-19 shut down.

We found our theater seating too uncomfortable and the power controls just too slow. We donated ours to Salvation Army and bought individual manual recliners from a furniture store.

I totally agree with you.......I could do without all the bells and whistles of butt heaters, vibration mode and an LED light strip and go with a simple manual reclining chair. They are sloooooooow.

Well Lippert support was great and was able to diagnose my problem over the phone. Ordered two new seat controllers that were only $19.99 each. Simple plug in replacement and everything is working as it should.

We had the manual version of the chairs in our 2017 Laredo. It had a cable pull to make the foot go up. I just confirmed with DW that we much prefer the electric chairs we have now. I like my Laziboy recliner much better than those chairs here in the S&B next to the fireplace, but the Thomas Paynes will do until we go full time.

Bartman, I'm surprised they made you buy the parts. A 2019 model should have been covered by the warranty. Ours was broken and damaged when we bought it so I guess that may be the difference. Just seems pretty new to have to buy parts to repair something already.

Lambright Lazy Relaxor

We put the loveseat configuration of these in our class C. They are some of the most comfortable recliners we've ever sat in. Amish made right near Elkhart.

It's what we'll replace out current recliners with when the time comes. Bradd and Hall even has overnight spots with power at their store. Really great people to work with.
