Low voltage

I've had some strange occurrences this week I've been using a 50 amp surge protector and with my ACs running everything shut down. I went out to check the surge and it was flashing after that I heard a buzzing noise coming from the basement now I'm getting low voltage notification on my leveling system

I'd start at the source and see what kind of voltage you're getting at the supply. Could be coming from the campground. Others will chime in with more knowledge than I, but confirm that the campground is delivering proper voltage and work from there.

The first thing to check would be all the breakers, that the main or the sub breakers are all on. It is possible that the low voltage caused a high amperage on one leg that caused a breaker to trip. That may have dropped 120 volts from running your converter and you now have low battery voltage. You may have to manually turn off the breakers and turn them back on in case one tripped but does not appear to be tripped. The next step would be using a volt meter to actually check the voltage at the breakers, both the incoming voltage at the main breaker and the voltage at each sub breaker.

This type of problem comes up this time of year more often than you would think. Many parks both public and private weren't wired for the amount of electricity modern rigs draw. It's one of the reasons many of us use an EMS rather than a surge protector since it will till us what has gone wrong while shutting the electricity off and protecting the electronics in our rigs.

I did exactly that turned off all the breakers manually everything seems to be restored other than that low voltage indicator on my auto leveling system. I will check the voltage as you suggested I also need to look at the 12 V battery is it possible that the converter took a hit
Thanks Bob

I find it interesting to look at the readout of my progressive when I happen to be out there, to see what I am drawing off each line as well as what the park supply is doing on each line. And it is always changing. John

It isn't just parks that have problems either. We use the electric company direct to our pedestal at our RV home base and I called them because early in the summer the voltage is just below being too high. They said they do that because when we get the 110 degree heat index days they don't want to end up too low. They're correct in their assumption because on those really hot days we're only a few volts from my EMS cutting me off for low voltage.
