Under bed storage
When we first got the Montana, I removed the plywood under the bed and made a plywood box to cover the hydraulic ram and wiring. I made it too long, so I cut it in half and gave the other half to Steve and Vicki.
Plenty of room there to store long items and short items.

What did you do with that fantastic Brinks safe. Hid it in a secure place?

I wondered what it looked like under there. The dealer told me there was no way to take the plywood out because it was "full of hydraulics." Dang 'ol salesmen lie every time.

Salesmen are like Slinkys, not good for much but they make you laugh when you kick them down the stairs.

Ours came with a metal box and keys and says on the top Brinks. Has 2 metal screws that hold it to the plywood.

Ozz, I like your design and am going to expand on it.I plan to make the box area a bit wider and to piano hinge the thin plywood that is there now. That way I will have a much deeper storage area that is out of site and out of mind. I may shorten the box and install a larger fire safe too. I was surprised at the extra space under there.I ran the slide in and marked the carpet where the limits of movement are and will build accordingly. One question though, where did you pull the wires through? And do you have a wider view of the wire routing under the bed to the outlets?... Dave and Betsy P.S. I Love this forum!

Also, many of the exposed metal edges that the box does not cover are VERY sharp. I got my Gorilla tape out and covered all these sharp edges. Worked great.

Hmmm! I guess I got a good deal. There already was storage under my California King Size bed, including the Brinks security box. We even have a hiding place on the dresser for trinkets and stuff.

I will show the wires and explain the routing. The box is open on the back.

I added 3 1\2 to the plywood last week so the new full queen bed had more to set on. Plus I added more 2x4 bracing under the middle, looked a little weak before. But I like the big flat area below the bed and left that like it was.

Great job Ozz. Now that will allow you to add a little more to your pin weight.
