Bedroom window modification

We have a 2007 3400RL. As the weather is cooling off here in San Antonio, we have started to be able to leave some windows open at night. Last night it became windy, and the bedroom window could not be left open, as the wind moved it enough that it either shut by itself, or the lever "latch" came completely out and the window would bang in the wind. It occurred to me that some type of window "latch" modification that would allow the window to be "fixed" open would help. Possibly drilling a hole in the bar that holds the window open and inserting a pin of some type in to the top of the dresser? Anyone done any kind of modification like this? If not, I bet Ozz could solve the problem! Any suggestions/help would be welcome.

drjj, I solved that problem. If your 3400RL is like mine, there is no screen, I ordered an escape window that is screened, it has a locking lever.
I made a 1x4" board, tapered the ends with a sander and attached rubber strips for holding against the window for use on my original window, that will work until you order the new one.......
On re-reading your post, you seem to have a bar that holds it open, your idea of drilling and pinning sounds like a good one, do it and let us know....

We already have the escape window, it is screened. I will drill the bar & let you know how it works.
