Holding tank handles
I have broken several of the plastic handels off the valves on the holding tanks. I am now using pliers to grip the handel rods to pull the valves open. Also where to get the push button switch in the entry door jam that turns on the lights when the door is opened. Small items but hard to find.

To find a metal waste valve handle, Google "Valterra 11-0583" , they're about $5 plus shipping from several vendors on the 'net.
Also try Googling "RV door jamb switch", several options will come up, you should be able to make one of them work. The important thing on the switch is that it conducts electricity in the "relaxed -(not pushed in)" position, it's referred to as "N.C. - normally closed" switch.

Won't a door light switch work off of an older car?

There should be ratings and manufacturer printed on switch, then you can use a source such as kenselectronics.com to find one. John

We had the door switch problem too. Lazy Daze rv in Tuscon had one on the shelf. It's the same switch used by motor homes for the step to extend and retrieve. Look on the switch and use the number stamped. Cost was about $10.00. Took me about 10 minutes to change. Make sure to silicone spray the switch so it works smoothly.
