2011 Montana Wilderness Hickory edition 324LBQ

I just bought this excellent quality 5th wheel. I discovered a few days ago that the bedroom slideout up front has water leaking--seaping through the ceiling strip and down behind the back of the slideout above the headboard when the slide is OUT. Before someone climbs up there does anybody have any idea what happened ie maybe the seal flipped over. The water is the full length of the ceiling strip above the bed.
Thanks
AL

Bases on your description, first thing I would check is the top slide seal and side seals at the top corners. Next the seam tape at the top running the length of the slide. Then the seams at the top of the outer sides of the slide. Is there a vent or antenna close to the bedroom slide with failed caulk? Would check all that first as likely leak sources

All good ideas, but based on what you say, I'd put money on the seal tape first.

Many thanks for your reply and input. I will check those things you mention especially the tape. Lots of rain here so I want to get it fixed asap.
cheers

I had been battling this very issue! Given your description I would bet the Eternabond tape along the outside edge of the roof. Specifically I had the edges wearing through and several screws starting to wear through as well. If yours is anything like mine I would check all slides as the tape on all slides was past its prime.

Eternabond tape is pretty inexpensive and fairly easy to work with, pull off the old lay down the new. I did a layer of 4" then laid down a layer of 2" to provide a "wear" section in the hopes it wont become an issue again.

Good luck!
