Delays Going North
Had some nice strong storms in the Troy AL area but caught a 30 minutes window so we got hooked up to go. Had to pull step ladder out and clean off slide tops due to ton of little "tree worms" that covered them. Got 20 miles north and a tanker truck decided to flip over, sat there in traffic for almost 2 hours. Got going again and in another couple of hours up on I-65 everyone stops and sits and we can see smoke up ahead. Emergency vehicles coming up shoulder and we sit there for another 30 minutes. Drive by that one and it seems a big Class A was pulling their car and it caught fire somehow. Wasn't nothing left of the car except a melted metal frame. Oh well, it still worked out and we were able to get set up at our CG and meet up with PackerFan (Scott & Sue) for some eats.

I guess that's part of the joys of full-time RV'ing.
It was GREAT meeting up with you guys for dinner. We really enjoyed the good conversation and company! Hopefully we can do it again sometime and share a campfire somewhere.

Oh the joys of RVing! Hey why don't you and Packerfan head out to Nebraska for the MOC CPRR in July! You can meet up again and meet some of us from the Central Plains and other parts of the US also?
Yup, another plug for the CPRR!

If you can talk PackerFan into it we are game. We will be heading back from Washington State the end of June sometime anyway.

Well it's up to you Scott and Sue! How about it, want to join us in Nebraska for the CPRR? We'll show you a great time, some great Nebraska hospitality and it's a great way to meet some of the MOC members that are here on the Forum.
OK, back to the subject of the post-- sure glad you guys did not end up like those that caused the delays for you!

We would love to join you all in Nebraska for the rally but unfortunately we are committed until the end of October working for the Corp. of Engineers as a campground host this summer.
If someone schedules a rally for the winter months we would be there for sure! After all, everyone heads to warmer climates for the winter so why not do a rally!!
