Pocket Door Latch
Wondering if there is a latch to hold the pocket door in place. The snap on strap does not work very well. It keeps unsnapping when traveling. There must be a better way. Appreciate any suggestions.

I installed another one and it holds the door shut just fine. You can buy them at most RV dealers.

I use one of my wife's sandals. I stick the toe between the door and the jamb and slide it up so that it's tight. Crude, but it works!

We found that strap needs to be taught, NO slack or extra length.
Al adjusted ours first week of ownership, have not had a problem with it coming loose or popping off the track.

We had installed a small slide latch on the Montana. Dealer did it for us.
It looked nice too. Brass.

Ron,
The way ours was installed the door was pushing in the same direction we would to unsnap so I shortened the strap and installed like the picture show. The door is pulled to the side so it doesn't rattle around and does not come loose any more.

We had the same problem with our 2003 3295RK. Our dealer solved the problem. The problem was that the location of the lock button was incorrect. When the pocket door pushed against the strap it would pop it right off because of the angle. Our dealer moved the lockdown button around the corner and used a longer strap. Then the door banging the strap just pulled sideways. In another 50,000 miles or so that strap never again came loose. I see on our 2007 they've positioned it correctly and we've had no problem.
