Dodge 6.7L is not slow off the line.

This is a 2007 Dodge 6.7L that is stock, as there isn't any programmers out for it yet. As you will see it is not slow on the take off, he power braked it though, of course he only has 2 drive wheels. Had to post this so I could finally get my 2 stars after almost 4 years on the MOC.

I love it, brings back the ole days! They did that very same thing with the Duramax and Allison only it was in 4 wheel low. Can you imagine that Dodge smokin all four tires at once! I'm sure it will. By the way I watched it again to see if I could smell the smoke!

I used to have a windshield washer pump and tank in the trunk that would soak the rear Mickey Thompsons with Clorox before I did a burn out. Great affect with lots of smoke pouring out the fender wells.

I don't have to do burn outs anymore. These Continental tires are wearing out prematurely on thier own. Not even sure they will make 20,000 miles.

20,000 is all you're going to get out of them? Wow. I got 70,000 on the BFG's and they had another 5k or so in them but I swapped them because we were getting into the snow and ice part of the year. Those tires are too expensive to replace every 20k miles. Do you have the 4x2, which has the twin I-beam front suspension? This 4x4 frontend is much easier on tires.

It's not the front wearing the tires, it's the rear with the Monty weight. Rear tires are half worn out already at 12,000 miles. I'll be rotating before the next trip.

Had the same issue with the OEM tires on my Chev (can't remember the brand). Towing to california and back on a new set took half the life off the rear tires.

Brad, I only got 30K out of those Continentals, when I bought new they were still only guys out there that had them in 18". I think Toyo, Cooper and few others have them know available. I will not go back with Cont again. I have gotten almost 20K on these and they are almost worn out as well.

My Continentals are wearing out fast also. The V10 gas engine makes it hard to start out without wheel spin but everything I have read about the Continentals points to a low mileage life so I hope we get a wider choice of tires soon. Right now 18" with 3640 lb weight rating are only available in a couple of brands.

Brad I just got rid of my Continentals at 42K. They were wearing very badly. I have the 4x4 but all were wearing about the same. I replaced them with Cooper Discovered ATR. About the only thing I could find that would fit my 18" wheels on the King. They are great riding and handling tire. I have about 4K on them already.

Holy smokers....... I haven't gotten only 20,000 out of a set of tires since the 60's. I had one set of Goodyears on a Jeep Cherokee that went 90,000 +. I've got over 60,000 on the OEM Firestones on my F250 and they've still got some life left.

I must be getting old and very light footed. LOL

I'm just glad I'm not buying the guys tires on that video.
