Compartment doors leak

Hello we have a 2018 Montana 3700LK. The outside compartment doors leak especially the front storage doors. Anyone recommend a better quality seal?

Not sure about this, but I think there is some sort of drainage hole somewhere in the frame. Maybe it is plugged? Also, make sure the latch is adjusted so it fits snugly. If it isn't tight and you get a hard rain or while driving, it will leak in around the edges.

Caulk the perimeter if the door frames to the fiberglass siding.

Mike drew this a while back.
Caulk along the hinge at the top.
I also caulked the fiberglass door and metal frame around the door.
Do NOT use ProFlexRV. I used that and a few months later it was hard and pealed out.
I tried Big Stretch (Lowes). So far so good.
Affinity RV Group uses Trempro 645 RV sealant on any repairs they do.

I use ProFlex on many areas that need sealing without problems. What they did do is come out with "crystal clear" vs "clear". I used crystal clear not paying attention - sort of like having crystal shining at you. Big Stretch was recommended by one of my contractors on one of my homes. He used it, it was OK. I used it and didn't like it. I prefer more RV specific sealants. As with anything the owner will pick a preference. I have a shelf full of "sealants", probably at least 30 tubes, of various types from different makers - pick what works for you.

On ours, the DS pass-through door had a twisted gasket up along the top and along half of one side. Removed the old gasket material, cleaned off the old adhesive and installed new gasket we bought from Amazon. No more leaks....

Our compartment frame wasn't square, not allowing a seal. I didn't notice it until I opened the other side and looked in. I could see day light.... FLRV rebuilt the frame.

The couple of comments above reminded me that ours also had a bent frame inside one pass through door causing daylight to shine through, caught it before it leaked water. Dealership worked on it then I took it home and straightened it out plus made some mods to the stops used for the latches to get it good and tight.

Twice s year i use gasket silicone on all of them. Make sure to wipe clean first to remove any sand particles, then silicone and works great keeping water out.
