Speakers...really do we them???

Had planned on purchasing a new 2019 3720RL. No go, they cut the trade in value more once I brought my trailer there.

Anyway, does anyone ever use the speakers they have in the bedroom and outside?

It seems like a waste of money for Montana and buyer.

Just curious on your thoughts.

speakers

We would use ours IF the radio worked so we could listen to talk radio. Some have said there is probably an antenna rolled up behind the radio unit and it needs to be unrolled. I will get to it someday I suppose...but until then the a.m. band is nothing but static and the f.m. is marginal. I have a bose sound bar for the TV and DVDs.

Both sets of speakers are disconnected in our rig.

Bedroom speakers have been disconnected. Don't have outside speakers and would not use them if I did. I don't want to listen to some else playing their music (whatever that might be) and I would not make them listen to mine. Unfortunately, not everyone feels that way.

We absolutely use ours. A good sound system with bluetooth is important to us. We stream from our phones most of the time. Always use our outside speakers when I'm grilling and many evenings sitting outside. I'm always thoughtful of our neighbors though. Never listen loud enough for our neighbors to hear. Since we very rarely use private campgrounds, its a non issue 95% of the time.

Ours work fine. I downloaded the Jensen app to my phone and paired them. I can control the system from my phone. Now if I can get Sirius to work over the system I would be in business.

There’s speakers in my unit...? No tried them and didn't sound good. Upgraded to a 5.1 surround sound for the main tv. For outside I have a very nice HK onyx speaker sounds great !!

Our unit only had speakers inside which we never use. We love music and our other 2 campers had outside speakers. So I fixed that issue. I purchased and installed a marine head with a remote mounted controller and 2 speakers.

I drilled 2 holes up high on the dinning slide wall and mounted the speakers so they would go into the backs of the over head cabinets. The head unit is mounted under the center cabinet in its own enclosure. The amp is mounted in the cabinet above the head unit and gets its power from the 12v circuit from the lights under the cabinets.

The really nice feature is the waterproof (wired) remote control unit mounted at the lower right hand side of the dinning slide (near the steps).

From that remote unit, the system can be turned on and off/radio channels changed and volume turned up and down. It is also an MP3 unit which we never use.

Before anyone gets there bowels in an uproar, we respect everyone, so we are carful when and where it is used.

We have had many compliments on the system ( and the sounds coming out of it ) from fellow campers and never a TURN THAT ---- down statement.

We chose our sites carefully so that the door side of our unit faces no one if possible.

Bedroom No. Outside Yes. There are a couple places we camp that have much larger site so plenty of room to listen to our music...at a reasonable level.

We love music and usually have it playing at a low volume in the background when we socialize with friends. We never turn it up loud enough to be heard at the next campground though. With the exception of playing it at full volume at 5am when someone else was up laughing and partying after 9pm LOL........hint hint
What you might find really ironic is I own a mobile disco setup that can cover a gym packed with teenagers at a prom, including the lights to go with it. BUT there is a time and place for everything. The campground is NOT a disco party location!

So you were not that person at Petit Jean State Park a couple years ago with load music and a spinning disco ball hanging in a tree and lighting up the whole area. We were 200’ away and it was still hugely annoying, music and light. I think most people just don’t realize how far sound carries in a quiet campground.

Don't use them much but they would be missed.

I use and enjoy ours much more than I expected to. Bluetooth from my phone a lot at our home base. I've not used them in the campground, and don't expect to due to the reasons already mentioned.

We use our Soundsystem including bedroom speakers all the time and outdoor speakers when we won't disturb other people. If I had a choice I would have preferred the outdoor speakers placed over the outdoor tv area instead of over the front end of the rig. I understand why they install that way but just wish for a little different placement.

I’m lucky I can listen to music as loud as I like and no one but me can hear it, through my Bluetooth hearing aids.

You mean those things under the awning are speakers? That said, I've never used them and I don't have an outdoor entertainment system.

My last 2 Montana’s have had a sound bar and speakers in/out. I might turn it on one day—- nope not going to happen.

If I'm camping and I can hear your music, you're bothering me. I love music in my trailer, but outside music is taboo in my mind. Unless you're positive there's NOBODY within earshot.
