Basement door locks

I have a problem with the loch on the outside tv on mu 3791rd. Tried pushing on the door and lock itself to make sure it is fully closed but the key will not turn. I don’t want to turn with too much force in fear of breaking the key. Any ideas has anyone else had this problem.

"Wiggle" the key while gently turning. Sometimes these locks take a little breaking in. No pun intended.

The key to the main door and basement look the same but are color coded different, make sure you are using the right key. If the key works on the other basement locks you are using the right one.

My problem was the latch at the bottom of the storage compartment was out of alignment and the lock would hit the metal plate and key would not move. Adjusted and fixed.

Thanks to all. I know sometimes the obvious is overlooked but yes the white key in my case is for the outside locks and the blue key is the door, although I installed an RV Lock on the door. Combination and key fob. Great tool.
Thanks again to all.
