Have any of you replaced schwintek with Vroom

I am curious if any of you have replaced your schwintek slide systems with a Vroom system? I have heart palpitations every time I need to move a slide in or out. The system seems very lightly engineered for what it is doing, even on my small slides. Just looking for feedback from anyone that has done this. The Vroom systems appear to be more heavy duty with bearings and cam followers on the slide drive rails rather than rollers under the slide floor.
Thanks

I’ve never did that but you are right about the schwintek system. It is way too lite to hold up. The schwintek system is a rack and pinion milled into a thin aluminum flat bar. If they had used a heavy rack and pinion they would have had something but this naw.

I watched the video posted to the current Schwintek thread, and I have seen other videos of folks replacing the Schwintek slide with the Vroom slide mechanisms, especially RVs with Schwintek operated BIG slides on motor homes and RVs.

I would love to see the numbers for Schwintek failure rates associated with slide box size. I have not had any issues with my small bedroom slide with a Schwintek mechanism…knock on wood!

According to my dealership ALL of the big slide Schwintek's fail and need some sort of repair. They aren't designed for large slides. The Vroom is. I wish Keystone would listen

I follow this channel on YouTube. They had huge issues with Schwintek on their LR slide and replaced with Vroom. They get advice from a Vroom tech in this video.
