New to 5th wheel trailer

Just purchased a new to us 2018 HM345RL High Country. We have always had bumper pull trailers until now.
We have a 2025 GMC 3500HD Denali Diesel long box single rear wheel on order. When it comes in I plan on putting in the B&W Companion 25K 5th wheel hitch (puck mount).

Welcome to the Montana Owners forum. You’ll love the B&W Companion, have that on my 2020 Denali 3500 with puck system, works perfectly!

Very nice. I have the same hitch for my F-450. It's my second B&W; have not had a problem with either of the hitches.

We have the same year and model, bought it used in fall of 2020. Love it. We tow with a 2020 Z71 2500 Duramax with airbags. I have a B&W, love it. The only issue with the TV is it does set a little high and the rig tows a little unlevel. You may not have the same issue if yours is not a Z71. I would keep a spare slide transmission on hand. We have had two fail.

Wow - 2 slide transmissions. Do you put the slide outs in & out a lot?
When I put our big slide out in the last time it made some banging noise almost like a gear was stripped on it. From what I've read it sounds like I need to install some roller slides. That is now on my to do list when the weather gets nicer in spring but before camping season.
If someone else has a suggestion please let me know.
