Boost Moble

We are currently using AT&T for both our cell phones. We have an attractive offer from Boost Mobile. We travel to all 48 states. What can you say about their coverage? We don't currently know anybody that has Boost Mobile.

Thanks for any advise,

Larry O.

Echostar, the parent company of Dish Network acquired Boost Mobile in 2020. It was supposed to become the fourth nationwide carrier and create competition with ATT, Verizon, and T-Mobile. It has been recently announced that ATT, who owns Direct TV, is acquiring Echostar including Boost Mobile.

I don't think anything has been finalized yet, and apparently some details about the large amount of debt Echostar has is a sticking point. If the acquisition does go through, you might not be breaking up with ATT, just seeing other people for a while.

I use Pure Talk which runs on AT&T network. Various rates. For minimum data, etc with senior discount, it is $38 for 2 phones. Using as a hotspot burns all the basic data in 3 days. But they have unlimited for maybe $40 per phone.

Boost Mobile

We had Boost that went thru Dish. I signed up first and worked fine in VA and our travels to PA. Apparently they use the T Mobile and AT&T towers. After about a month. We switched my wife's phone over too. Everything fine until we went into the mountains in VA. My phone would not get a signal and my wife's phone would. Same account. The answer I was told was when I signed up I was put under AT&T and later my wife's phone under T Mobile. I wanted to have my number changed to T Mobile and they couldn't do it. After round and round calls and tech calls we went back to Verizon. Although we did go to monthly Verizon and it ha saved us about 50 bucks a month. Not sure how Boost would work nationwide. Hope this helps.
