I-70 East to I-77 South is the easiest route, John. Only other alternative is Route 33 to Route 50 which is about the same time (2 hours more or less) but is a more rural route. I always prefer Interstate where I can, but the choice obviously is yours.

Unfortunately there is not a whole lot in the area. In a previous PM, I mentioned the only ones in the area that I am aware of. Sorry

we have done both routes and they are both fine. Hiway 50 is a little more hilly if I remember right. we stayed in a campground behind an RV repair place--nothing fancy, found it in an old Wheelers directory. Can't remember the name, let me know if yo want me to search for it.

it was in Parkersburg, not far from the main highway==It was called travel trailer center--we thought it may have been an old Coast to Coast place--NOT fancy but it was quiet. it was in 2007 when we were there. We did drive out to I think a county campground--did not like the looks of it. Mostly Fulltime and didn't feel it was real safe but a lot happens in 5 years. the place we stayed was a pretty narrow road down to the bottom of the "cliff" along a river
