Looks like a 19-2 or poss a 19-3 not sure when they changed them to white outlined rear site and red ramp front site, The 19's are a highly saught after pistol. what brand is the ammo?? factory boxed?? What do you have and how much.
Probably Nov or Dec when we head AZ way

I figured I would get more use out of the .22
I enjoy shooting the Glock 17 and 19 very much, so it was time for it to go.

What type of shooting sports is everybody in? I in long range varmint shooting. My longest shot is 1005 yds. My business is making reloading equipment and related equipment for benchrest shooters and hunters. FUN way to make a living. You meet lots of wonderful people and all of them are outdoors people. Om Friday I'm off to Wyoming to see friends I've met in my work and do a little hunting and trout fishing.

I still shoot combat ranges when I can talk the cops into letting me on. Usually takes a bet, then if I win it takes a while before I can get back in. Worked better when I was Mayor.

Wish I could get back into it...but the cost to shoot in Ct. is getting way out of hand. There are very few places to shoot unless you want to pay $30 per hour at a range. Most open areas where we use to shoot years ago and been closed or local and state laws now prevent using those areas for shooting. The cost of joining a shooting club and it's yearly dues are preventing a lot of people from joining. I shoot when I can but it's not as often as I want it to be.. Still carry a
1911 1A and if in the woods a 357 Mag 4 in. I enjoy the combat course but the only time I get to shoot it is once a year at my old department so I can qualify to carry nationwide. The department no longer allows retired officers to use their range except fot that once a year qualification session. Shooting is a great sport
but it's getting harder and harder to fing a place to shoot in this area.

Vintage military rifle, high power rifle, and practical pistol. Recently it has been mostly vintage rifle using either a Finn M39, Springfield 1903A3, or Ishapor Enfield 2A1.

Every once in awhile I go out and qualify with the locals as I built the range when I was police chief, I started shooting with the 5th Army Rifle Pistol Team back in the late 60's. I do some varmit shooting here in MT using a Savage 93R17 17HMR, a CZ527 Varmit .223 and a CZ 550 varmiter in .308. Our range has a $35.00 annual membership with a $2.00 per visit fee. Busting a few caps now and then is a good stress reliever along with prospecting for gold and just enjoying the mountain cabin.

Yes I know. A benchrest rifle cost at least $4000 and you need 2 a Leopold 40 power scope is about $1000 and you need at least 3 because 1 will go bad while you are shooting, or you could use 2 March scopes at $4000 each. Then you need a couple extra barrels at $500 each. Pretty quick we are talking some real money.

You got that wright Ozz I'm the luckiest SOB on the planet. I was watching the History channel a program on bullets a Army team was using my powder measures. I've sold stuff to Nascar's France family. an ex president has one of my measures. Outdoor Life's Jim Carmichel is a friend. Then there are a few billionaires. A member of the ruling family of the United Arab Emergents has my equipment.
Then there are stories. The latest. It seams there was a "drug Kingpin" who flew into a "major city in Texas" and was took out from roof top to roof top at 1864 yards.

I'm a life member at my home gun club in PA, but am now back in WA fulltiming, where I used to be a Reserve Deputy Sheriff; now currently a Special Deputy in the Stevens County Sheriff's Dept, WA. I shoot all types of rifle and pistol and combat shotgun. Attended Gunsite and was sniper qualified in WA back in the 90's. Have carry permits for PA, Fl, WA, and hopefully soon OR. I try my best to be a good SHEEPDOG.

I read that article about the choices a long time a go. I felt he hit the nail on the head. I haven't done anything involving the shooting sports since about a year after I graduated from the college at Susanville, CA but it's still interesting to read about folks who stay with it. The local club disbanded and the owner of the range closed it down.

That is what has happened to a lot of ranges. 30 years ago you could shoot benchrest every week and not drive over 3 hours from home. Now just 2 ranges are left that hold matches. It's hard to get people to help out. And most young people are not being brought up hunting and fishing the way we were.

Mostly it's the liability insurance and at times negative neighborhood reaction as much as it is a lack of business. With what is currently going on in the country, Kansas can't keep up with the concealed carry requests. Folks want and need to practice, but if your not real rural it's tough. In my opinion, way too many lawyers in the world trying to make a living.

I went to a local gun shop to buy targets, the kind that highlight hits, I saw a human outline/form and was going to buy it. The salesman said I couldn't take it to the Mo. game and wildlife shooting range. He said since kids go there, a human outline couldn't be used..

There was a gun range just 2 miles from my house. But when the local city annexed that area it wasn't long before they shut them down. They didn't physically go out and shut the doors, but they put so many restrictions on them they could not longer stay in business.
I have been hunting and shooting since I could hold up a gun. Typical of growing up in a rural area. But never any competitive type shooting. Now it is only an occasional trip to an indoor gun range about 25 miles away just to keep a little in practice with the handguns. And all the old family members and friends that lived in the country and allowed me to hunt there have either died or sold off and I have few options for hunting any more except for our long time deer lease. But that is 300 miles away so trips there are few.
But I do have a collection of rifles, shotguns, and pistols (including some black powder) that I intend to keep and pass down to my kids and grandkids some day. I raised my son shooting/hunting and he is raising his son the same way. My daughter used to go some, but not much interested any more. And my granddaughters have no interest.

That's the nice thing about belonging to a private club. We get great participation in all our matches, but all it takes on any range today is for someone to ignore the safety rules and send a round outside the range fan or over the berm. That will get the range closed in the blink of an eye. Therefore we stress following all range rules and safety, safety and more safety.

ANYTHING that goes "BANG"! Short range, long range......would love to find a local area, I could get out to 1K with my Remington 7MM Mag. Love my Ruger .40 S&W, it's never let me down sofar. My Great-Grandfather's WESTERNFIELD Primere .22 gave up on me last fall durng grouse season, get to try out my new 10/22 this year.....just might get some this time.

I have never owned a Taurus, when I picked this one up, I was amazed at the quality and good feel of it, a very nice handgun. I bet the .357 is nice also.
