2nd AC!?

Please! Help! Can I get away with putting a normal size AC unit on the front of my 295rkd Montana? Seem impossible to get a low profile.. Will I be to tall with a normal size ? Thanks

The only way to know for sure is to measure with the rig on the truck. That said, our HC has a full sized dometic in the front and is just fine. I know the height and don't go under bridges with less clearance than that.

Panther rv products has the low profile penguin 2 units in stock. I purchased 2 from them last year and it was a smooth transaction. Hope this helps.

You are at 12'10" IIRC and a standard a/c is about 12.5" while the Penguin ll is 9.5". Amazon has the Penguin ll in stock for about $1012 plus tax or about 450 bucks more then I paid 4 years ago. It was drop shipped directly from Dometic to my door step. In my case, it took our sig 343RL right to that 'magic' 13'6" and now probably more since I added another spring leaf, a 1" spring lift spacer and 85 series tires. Since those mods, we have gone coast to coast including some interesting secondary roads and back 2X with no problems.

You need to add the inside panel and, maybe, a heat strip, both of which will add about another hundred bucks
