Welcome!

We have a 2021 3790RD, so very similar except ours has the RV fridge.

We have had a few minor issues, but really nothing unusual at all. Coming from another brand, the Montana is so much nicer and more solid in all of it's construction and finishes.

I've started doing a number of modifications and documented them here: https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...ad.php?t=84665
It may help you to see what is possible if you like doing mods.

Brad

Take your time when inspecting it. Recently someone on this site put up a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) that I'd print out. It will help you in inspecting all aspects of the unit. Anyways, congratulations on joining the Montana family.

If you can use a phone to video the walk thru. Too many items and controls to remember later. Also look for things not on most PDI lists. On our 2010 we found the landing gear cracked on a brand new rig, probably done by the hauler of the dealer.

First off, welcome to the forums and congrats on your new Montana! You will love it and the more you use it, the more it will grow on you. The more you fix things, change things out, or make small improvements to customize everything to your specific lifestyle and need, the more and more it will become a dominant item in your life, and the more you will love it.

Don't have your model, but to your answer about "major issues"?? The answer is going to be "no."... but ... you may experience a BUNCH of minor issues, that after a while will seem like MAJOR. There will be issues, but work through them one at a time, and fix as much as possible yourself. Missing or loose screws, a piece a trim that works loose, a cabinet door that doesn't shut right, is not "major." And if you wait on warranty work to get it done, with the long wait time at, you'll find yourself more frustrated than ever. So, if it's within with ability, time, cost, and you have the space, little things like that, do yourself. IT WILL TAKE A YEAR TO FLUSH OUT ALL THE LITTLE THINGS, so just .... don't be taken back by shock and anger at shoddy craftsmanship. Fix it, move on, and a year from now, you'll have one heck of a good camper! I know... been there, done that!.

Thanks

Thank all of you very much for the advise. Should I consider the extra warranty the dealer always tries to sell?
