Self leveling system brackets

On our 2017 fifth wheel, the self leveling system brackets hang too low for our boondocking. Can I raise the brackets myself or should I have it done?

If you mean can you raise the jacks up on the brackets, yes it's been done by a number of folks. Be sure and carry a lot of blocks if you do to avoid getting out of stroke errors, particularly boondocking.

Thanks. What I want to do is raise the brackets themselves. They have multiple bolts and holes. Is the answer still valid?

I think you would need a welder for that. Never heard of that being done.

The bracket the jacks are mounted on are welded to the frame, but as said you can raise the jacks them selves.
