Interstate 70 from Denver, Co. to Zion NP, Utah

Sitting at Estes Park and planning to travel to Zion National Park in Utah and am concerned about how steep the grades are on this route.
Would appreciate any information you can give me.
Thank you in advance.

We've done I-70 through Colorado a couple of times. Once with a Ford 6.0L diesel, once with a Ford V10 gasser, and once with a Dodge Cummins diesel. All did fine. The gasser was running hard when we reached the summit at Eisenhower tunnel but did fine. The Ford was running 3800 rpm at that summit but did fine, the Dodge was running around 2100 rpm and did great.

You don't say what your tow vehicle is so I included all three we've used to tow on that route, for your information. My suggestion is to just take your time and enjoy the beautiful scenery on that route.

Thanks for the replies on this topic and would like to add we made it ok & Steve I am driving an 02 Dodge with a Cummins and ran at about 2200 rpm's.
Now in Utah and by Arches NP and will go to Canyonlands NP & Dead Horse Point State Park.
Would have to say the pull up to "Eisenhower Tunnel was well worth it.
Thanks,

Those are beautiful areas. I hope you enjoyed them as much as we did.
