Battery monitor install

I’m thinking of installing a battery monitor at the interior control panel in our 3931FB. I’m looking at this on Amazon

My question has to do with routing the data/control cable from the shunt to monitor.
How would I feed the cable from the interior panel to the battery bay? Thanks

Hi,

normal you can unscrew the existing control panel.
You can push a fish wire down the chanel behind and will find it in the basement.
Depending on your model you should unscrew the storage compartment walls and will find that cable channel and you fish wire behind the wall.
From there you can run to your battery.

I have done that exact same route with three different Fifth Wheels routing the cable for the Remote Readout from my Progressive EMS.

The panel seems to be nailed in place from behind the panel. There is a closet below the panel. It appears there is nothing behind the panel. Would I just drill through the panel?

maybe post a pic how your panel is mounted to figure out if it is nailed or screwed

I found an installation manual for the display commander control panel. There is a trim ring that needs to be removed to expose the screws holding the panel. I think I have it figured out now. Thanks for posting the pic.
