roof staples

Noticed a couple of screw bumps starting to show on the edge of the roof.I remember somewhere on a site for a repair by someone that did the job himself.I would be interested .John R.

If you fix the staples coming out you will pull a hole in your roof. Is that really what you wont to do?
Leave them alone they aren’t causing any trouble until they come through the roof, if they ever do. No need to make a hole in the roof to prevent a hole that might come in the roof.

It’s a very common issue. We have a 2014 40’ and now have many staples popping up under the membrane along both sides. Rather than leaving it, I’m bringing it in to have it repaired by an independent dealer. They’ll peel up the sides, replace all staples with screws, cover them with sticky fiberglass tape and put it all back together. It’ll cost us ~$1,000 but will prevent having to replace the whole membrane when the staples pop through the rubber. Eventually they would if we didn’t do this. Staples should have never been used in the first place. If I had the time I would do it myself.
