12 volt ceiling light 3400RL

Have a 2012 3400RL and just noticed this problem. We have 5 12 volt double bulb ceiling lights in the living area of the coach. One is above the refrigerator. That light has never gone on. The switch is in the on position but is stuck and will not move to off position. We can't figure out how to turn on and know there must be a wall switch to activate. The other 4 12 volt double bulb lights turn on with a switch at rear of unit. Is it a faulty fixture or do we just not know the location of the wall switch?

Just guessing, but if it's the only light not working, I'd bet on the light itself. I can't imagine you'd have a separate switch for one fixture, especially since you're not finding one. The stuck switch on the fixture may have something to do with it.

that light and the one at the door come on together when the door is opened and with the switch in the control center. I would suspect bad bulbs or fixture.

Agree. That's how mine works.

My Mountaineer is a 2013 and I have already replaced 3 switches on the pancake lights. Incandescent bulbs draw too much current for those wimpy switches. Since swapping over to LED I've not had another switch go bad.

A belated update. Finally got time to replace the pancake light on the ceiling. Five minute job and replacement fixture lit using ceiling switch on panel. I don't think that fixture has ever worked since we bought the unit new. Nice to have the additional light.

I had same problem with one fixture in kitchen. Removed the light from the ceiling and removed the wires from the built-in switch and butt spliced them together and then replaced fixture to ceiling. It now operates using the wall switch just as the others do. I don't understand why they use ceiling fixtures with built-in switches you can't reach anyway. No need to buy another fixture.
