Dometic thermostst

I am having an issue with my dual zone stat it will not allow me access to zone 2. Zone 1 appears to be working fine but when I try to set zone 2 it never leaves zone 1. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Are you working with heat or AC. The heater is only single zone. The AC is dual zone

Yeah I tried it with the air and the fan, neither would switch to zone2.

It is possible that the DIP switch in the control box below the A/C is not set to tell the thermostat that it is zone two. Either that, or the communication cable from the zone 1 A/C to the A/C that is supposed to be zone 2 is disconnected or damaged. The dip switch positions are described in this manual on page 12 http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/opera...312792.017.pdf

Also look for a broken/cut telephone wires. They are used to communicate between the A/C's. My camper did the same thing. Found a cut wire. Put on a new 4wire telephone end and it switches between zones. 20 dollar crimper and 3 dollar ends.

Glad you got it working. Just an FYI, the 'phone' cable in these systems is not a normal cable. It is normal cable, but the positions of the wires in the connectors is different.
